"C’è un modo di pensare, nell’italiano, che è ancora fascista: piace la prevaricazione, la sopraffazione. È un virus mutante, come quello dell’influenza. Si fa il vaccino e già il virus è cambiato. Noi italiani, è sgradevole dirlo, non amiamo i politici che ragionano e agiscono onestamente. Ferruccio Parri, un uomo mite, onesto, era appena stato nominato presidente del Consiglio e già tutta l’Italia lo chiama “Fessuccio”. Non piacciono, all’italiano, le persone dimesse: bello il luccicore delle divise, bella la parola tonante. Berlusconi no, non è un fascista. Ma ha un modo di proporsi, da gerarca, che piace molto perché è speculare a una certa mentalità italiana. I giudici scrivono: “Anche da presidente del Consiglio gestì una colossale evasione fiscale”. In un Paese normale, questo avrebbe annullato Berlusconi; in Italia gli fa guadagnare voti."

Things are going crazy here in são paulo. People gathered in pacif manifestations against the high prices of the bus passes (actually, it’s not just the price of bus passes, it’s the constant humiliation that we have to bear - High taxes that are never worth it and so). They were dancing and singing and giving flowers to other ppl while walking the street. Then, the militar police came and the violence started. gas bombs everywhere. people were yelling “NO VIOLENCE” and giving flowers to police officers, but the violence just increased. It was like civil war, but only one side was attacking.
